| By the very nature of their work and of
their theatres of operation, many TGS customers have been
finding themselves more and more exposed to ambush, to urban
attack and to the threat of becoming a sniper target. The
need to protect against these threats has now become very
relevant. |

| Following an investigation by TGS
of the armouring concept in general terms, a prototype
was designed and built in-house, giving us first-hand knowledge
of the armouring principles and allowing us to set our own
priorities. This intensive, but highly informative and successful,
30 month period was followed by a study, commissioned to research
the viability of setting up a separate, independent enterprise
that would design, manufacture and market a range of specially-protected
vehicles. |

| APV is the result of this research and
it will benefit enormously, not only from the important background
work in customer relations, freight and logistics development
and after sales reputation from the TGS connection, but it
will also benefit from an intensive and complete, in-house,
development of its own superior armoured product. |
