| After building and evaluating the prototype,
a decision was reached to assess the different production
options open to the emerging company that would be formed
to handle this production. At first, very serious feasibility
studies and business plans were investigated and drawn-up,
looking at production in Gibraltar. These studies were based
on a projected annual production output of 40 units initially,
rising up to an annual maximum of 60 units after some years
in operation. |

| Tandem discussions and investigations,
however, soon led to meetings and visits with an established
armouring company in Poland. The researching team was impressed
by the skills clearly evident on the shop floor, by the scope
and versatility of the factory and by the vision and resourcefulness
of the management. The rest is history with production in
full swing and with APV growing with every vehicle produced.
The design exercise learned during the prototype-building
including our recent independent ballistic and blast testing
of our vehicle has been invaluable in establishing the APV
design priorities. A number of features having been further
developed following the destructive testing and which are
now implemented in all production vehicles. The result is
the APV
armoured vehicle, which uses the
Toyota Station Wagon 105
platform and is armoured and Fully
Certified to CEN
1063 B6 level. Our own APV Operations
Manager, based at the factory and looking after APV quality
control and production, guarantees our commitment to ensuring
that the product that leaves the factory is on time and of
the right standard.
We hope that this desire for quality is
reflected in the product reliability and in customer satisfaction.
